Social Responsibility
We are also driven by the will to touch the lives of others. We created an internal project at RHP, made by employees and with employees. We call it “Make a Difference Day.”
We are grateful to our clients and partners for these opportunities to make a difference in someone’s life, even if just for a day!

Comunidade Vida e Paz
As a form of thanks, RHP wanted to give back the support that is has been given virtually, supporting those who need it most. To do this, we set a goal of 2,000 followers on our LinkedIn page, and for each follower, we donated 1 Kg of food to different charities.
Comunidade Vida e Paz was one of the institutions covered by our contribution, receiving a donation of 1,000 Kg of food. This organization has a mission “to meet and welcome people who are homeless or socially vulnerable, helping them regain their dignity and (re)build their life plan, through an integrated action of prevention, rehabilitation and reintegration.”
The construction of the common good is one of the objectives of the work of the Comunidade Vida e Paz. Therefore, RHP eagerly associated itself with this important cause.

Centro de Apoio ao Sem Abrigo (CASA)
Having reached the goal of 2,000 followers on our LinkedIn page, RHP decided to give back this digital support by supporting those who need it most. To do this, we donated 1 Kg for each follower, to different charities.
One of the donations went to the Centro de Apoio ao Sem Abrigo (CASA), more precisely to the Lisbon and Setubal delegations, each of which received 500 Kg of food.
As the name indicates, the mission of this association is “to help those who are homeless, who are part of families at risk or needy families, through actions of social solidarity, providing close contact, food, clothing and services of social reintegration, regardless of social status, ethnicity, religion or gender.”
It was with great pleasure that RHP joined the CASA cause and was able to support, albeit indirectly, those who need it most.

AJDP website
“Together, against diabetes.” This is the motto of the Associação de Jovens Diabéticos de Portugal (AJDP), whose focus is to prevent and treat diabetes. Founded 25 years ago, in 1996, AJDP mainly works with young people with diabetes, but also with the general population, promoting diabetes education and demystifying this chronic pathology.
As this is a non-profit private institution of social solidarity, RHP voluntarily partnered with AJDP to renew their website, facilitating the search for all information about initiatives and events, such as group hikes and the annual summer camp, which were developed so that young people can “see for themselves that they are not limited by the fact that they have diabetes.” With this update, the online platform began to reflect the joviality and dynamism that AJDP intends to pass on to all those who seek it, with or without diabetes, and to gather all the essential information for those who want to volunteer, become an associate or simply donate.

Ajuda de Berço
Sharing with those who most need what we can achieve is something that is part of RHP’s DNA.
Ajuda de Berço is a solidarity association that was born “of the will of 18 founders” and that has existed since 1998 “to give affection, care and shelter to infants and unprotected children.” Due to the invaluable work developed over more than 20 years, we were unable to remain indifferent to the ongoing needs of this social solidarity association, which have been heightened by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Therefore, we made a humble contribution with a donation of goods (food and hygiene and cleaning products) to support the work carried out in the two reception centers (Avenida de Ceuta and Monsanto) for children between 0 and 9 years old.

Cookbook “Amor às Colheradas”
Healthy eating is increasingly a concern for everyone. For Nurse Carmo Cordeiro, a specialist in Rehabilitation Nursing, discovering the world of healthy eating was a journey full of learning moments that, combined with her knowledge as a nurse and her love for cooking, led her to share her recipes on Facebook and Instagram.
To reach more people, the book “Amor às Colheradas” was born, with recipes written by Nurse Carmo Cordeiro and Prof. Fátima Victal, covering “several healthy breakfast options, with new flavors and textures” that are “simple, practical and accessible to everyone,” as described in the introduction.
It was impossible for RHP to pass up a project with such an important purpose as promoting health through food. For this reason, we collaborated with Nurse Carmo Cordeiro in the design and illustration of the book, which includes illustrative photographs of the shared recipes.

Jiu-Jitsu – Support for athletes and competitions
We support the practice of physical activity and sports. Our connection to Jiu-Jitsu began with the support of athletes traveling to international competitions.
We recently supported a tournament in which 750 athletes from various nationalities, 450 adults and 300 children, representing 52 Jiu-Jitsu academies participated. The event also had a food collection drive, from which 1,200 kg of food were distributed by the Parish Center of Pinhal Novo – Palmela to families in need in the parish.

Fundação COI – Children’s care home
Fundação COI receives and protects children at risk. It is a host residence in emergency situations, arising from abandonment, mistreatment, neglect, or other factors that compromise their physical and psychological well-being, in an environment as close as possible to that of a family.
We organized a day for the 15 children from Fundação COI – Centro de Ocupação Infantil (between 12 and 18 years old) and the 4 staff members from the institution made just for them where they had the chance to smile and have fun climbing trees, playing on the slide, fourwheeling, playing paintball, and participating in many other activities.

Youth shelter – Abrir Caminhos
The institution welcomes children and young people during measures defined by the Tribunais de Família e Menores e Comissões de Proteção de Crianças e Jovens, assisting some of them with adoption or autonomy processes.
We wanted to give these children, young adults, and staff members a fun and exciting day that they could remember in the future with fondness. What better place to visit than the Lisbon Zoo?
The day began with a tour guided by the biologists, who showed us the most emblematic animals of the zoo. We visited the areas with exclusive access to keepers, where we could see some of the “behind the scenes” activities. At the end of the day, we had the experience everyone had been waiting for: watching the dolphin and sea lion show! We were able to have another behind the scenes tour, observing the treatment and feeding of the animals.
Thanks to the Câmara Municipal do Montijo for providing transportation.
